This Privacy Policy explains how Bydino (“Bydino”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Plyft mobile application and related services (the “Service”).
By using Plyft, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information created through your use of the Service, and limited technical information collected automatically.
- Account information: name, email address, login credentials, and profile details.
- Fitness and wellness information: age, height, weight, goals, workout history, activity logs, dietary preferences, and related profile information you choose to provide.
- Optional personalisation information: available equipment, schedule preferences, and optional heritage, cultural, or regional information that you choose to provide to improve meal and workout recommendations.
- Subscription and transaction information: subscription status, product purchased, purchase dates, renewal status, and receipt identifiers provided by Apple and our subscription tools. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Support communications: information you include when contacting us for help or sending feedback.
- Device and usage information: app events, crash logs, device type, operating system, approximate region, language settings, notification token, and interactions with features in the app.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account.
- To generate personalised workout plans, meal suggestions, and fitness insights.
- To save your progress, workout history, and preferences.
- To provide reminders and notifications where you have enabled them.
- To manage subscriptions, entitlements, renewals, and purchase support.
- To maintain, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
- To respond to support requests and communicate with you about important changes.
- To comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
4. Lawful Bases for Processing
We rely on one or more of the following legal bases to process your personal data:
- Performance of a contract - where processing is necessary to provide the Service you asked for, such as account creation, syncing your progress, and providing paid features.
- Consent - where you choose to provide optional personalisation information, enable notifications, or share health-related information for tailored recommendations.
- Legitimate interests - where necessary to secure, maintain, analyse, and improve the Service, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligations - where we must keep certain records or disclose information to comply with applicable law.
5. Sensitive and Special-Category Data
Some information processed through Plyft may be considered sensitive or special-category data under certain laws, including health-related information (such as body weight, fitness level, and dietary preferences) and optional information that may reveal cultural or ethnic background (such as heritage preferences used for meal personalisation).
We only process this information when you choose to provide it and when it is needed to deliver the personalisation features you request. Where required by law, we rely on your explicit consent for this processing. You can withdraw consent by editing or removing relevant information from your profile, or by requesting deletion of your account. Some features may not function as intended without this information.
6. AI-Powered Features
Plyft uses AI to generate personalised meal plans and progress insights. Workout plans are generated by our own engine and do not involve any external AI provider. For meal plans and insights, relevant profile and preference information is sent to Anthropic (makers of Claude AI). This data is used only to provide the requested feature. Anthropic states that inputs and outputs from the commercial API are not used for model training by default, and data is typically retained for up to 30 days unless otherwise agreed. We do not send more personal data than is reasonably necessary for these features to function.
7. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal
Plyft offers auto-renewing subscription plans through Apple’s App Store:
- Pro Monthly - $14.99 per month
- Pro Yearly - $99.99 per year
Both plans include a 7-day free trial. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time in iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or through the Plyft app under Settings → Manage Subscription.
You may also initiate account deletion directly within the app under Settings → Sign Out and then contacting us, or by emailing hello@bydino.co. Cancellation of your subscription takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Pricing may vary by country. Any unused portion of a free trial will be forfeited when a subscription is purchased.
8. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with the following service providers, only as needed to operate the Service:
- Supabase - database and infrastructure provider (EU-West region), to host and store app data.
- Anthropic - AI service provider, to generate personalised content and recommendations.
- RevenueCat - subscription management, to handle entitlements and subscription lifecycle events.
- Apple - to process in-app purchases and support app distribution.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect users or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, depending on where our service providers operate. Anthropic is based in the United States; Supabase infrastructure is hosted in the EU. Where required, we take steps designed to protect transferred data using contractual, technical, and organisational safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.
10. Data Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
- Account and profile data - retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request.
- Workout history and app content - retained until you delete them or close your account.
- Support records - retained for up to 2 years to handle follow-up issues.
- Subscription and financial records - retained for up to 7 years where required by tax and accounting law.
- Security and diagnostic logs - retained for up to 90 days, then deleted or anonymised.
- Backup copies - may persist in backup systems for up to 30 additional days before deletion or overwrite.
11. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, update, delete, export, or restrict certain uses of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Update profile information in the app.
- Disable notifications in your device settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple account settings.
- Request account deletion by emailing hello@bydino.co. We will action deletion requests within 30 days, except where data must be retained for legal or accounting purposes.
We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.
12. Children’s Privacy
Plyft is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us at hello@bydino.co and we will investigate and take appropriate action.
13. Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, database-level access controls, and row-level security policies. Access to personal data is restricted to authorised personnel and processors with a legitimate need. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice in the app or by other appropriate means. Continued use of Plyft after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
